Description

The environment department offers a range of skills in the specific fields of water and solid waste, as well as technical and scientific support for the research and development of technologies and/or products. Celabor is a laboratory approved by the Walloon Region to draw up reports on discharges from production sites, and to analyse water and waste such as sewage sludge, compost, biofuels, etc.

To carry out its missions successfully, the Celabor laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge equipment and is able to offer tailor-made solutions in the development of specific, highly reliable analysis methods. Celabor's environmental research unit has been working for over 20 years in the field of water and industrial waste characterisation. In the field of water, Celabor is approved by the Walloon region for analyses and is equipped with various industrial wastewater treatment pilots.

In addition, Celabor has been working for several years on various projects at regional, national and European level (Horizon2020 programme, Horizon Europe, BBI, Interreg, cluster projects, Feder, etc.) focusing on the circular economy of water and water treatment. Examples include the DAF3D project (Cornet, 2020-2023) on the disinfection of industrial wastewater, which is directly linked to the WaterReuse theme, and the TOCEP project (Collective Research 2018-2020) on the degradation of micropollutants.
