Software and system design require a special attention when it comes to ensure the security and safety properties. CETIC has developed specific expertise in these areas in direct line with relevant standards in different application areas and more specifically railways and aerospace. This expertise also covers knowledge of software certification.
CETIC has also developed a specialized expertise in the optimization of complex systems especially in logistics (routing of vehicles), and industrial processes (planning). CETIC experts master optimization techniques and tools but are also actively developing an open source toolkit called OscaR and targeting SMEs. OscaR is characterized by its ability to process large problems as well as its expressiveness and maintainability.
