A half-day workshop dedicated to the expectations of Walloon actors in relation to the NGI initiative of Europe, took place on 29 November at CETIC. The aim of the workshop was to identify the needs in Wallonia in relation to the Internet of the Future and to communicate them to the Commission as a report.
Last autumn the European Commission launched an ambitious and long-term initiative on the Next Generation Internet Initiative (NGI). The initiative aims to define and develop the Internet in a societal perspective ("Human Internet") to better meet the needs of citizens and society.
