The first RESTwithEU Hackathon takes place in the third week of June in Madrid. A weekend experience, where tech enthusiasts, restaurant experts, designers, and stakeholders from all over Europe come together to develop new ideas and solutions to build the future of the restaurant sector.
RESTwithEU focuses on identifying and developing digital tools and solutions that meet the needs and diversity of the restaurant sector, with a special focus on SMEs, start-ups and EDIHs. Therefore, the project aims to promote innovation by generating strategies for the future.
CETIC participates in this hackathon with the aim of testing and exploring use-cases for some results of its technological research in the field of IoT systems interconnectivity and Edge computing; results being developed within the scope of research projects such as SmartACC.
The hackathon will address several challenges. Amongst them, the most aligned one with CETIC’s objectives and expertise is related to streamlining operations by implementing relevant business-intelligence and data analytics.
