The design of a business continuity plan is an activity that any organization (of IT nature or not) shoudl implement in order to control the risk of impact on its business or even its survival. This important task is often overlooked by SMEs until the occurrence of a major risk that puts them into trouble.

Based on its expertise in goal-oriented requirements engineering, CETIC has contributed to development of a method using on the ENISA standard suitable for SMEs and also useful for bigger companies. This work was done in collaboration with Business Continuity experts from the University of Madrid and Portsmouth. CETIC has helped in the introduction of a goal-oriented modeling approach and the development of a tool support.
