SPES - Support Patients through E-Service Solutions

Keywords: Health, Software Services Technologies, Embedded & Communication Systems, Software and System Engineering, Europe, On going - Started: 24 April

SPES aims at transferring the approach and results achieved in the implementation of OLDES project to support patients from four European locations through e-service solutions, especially tailored to manage respiratory problems, dementia, handicapped people and social exclusion.

LOCOTRAC - Low cost train automatic control

Keywords: Transport, Software and System Engineering, Marshall Plan, Wallonia, On going, LOCOTRAC - Started: 27 March

The LOCOTRAC project aims at developing reduced cost technologies allowing the deployment of state of the art safety mechanism such as Automated Train Protection (ATP) on regional and local lines. The project will incorporate these technologies into new products (ground, board and telecom) fitted for such lines.

BonFIRE-ExSec - Experimenting Scalability of Continuous Security Monitoring

Keywords: Cloud Computing, Service Oriented Architecture, 7th Framework Program, Europe, On going, BonFIRE - Started: 26 March

The BonFIRE-ExSec experiment aims to study the impact of scalability and heterogeneity on performance of security solutions. The bottom line of this investigation is to develop an empirical way of quantifying impact on security under various operating conditions and parameters of Cloud deployments.

PIPAS - Adaptative Piloting of Hospital Processes

Keywords: Health, Software and System Engineering, WIST, Wallonia, On going, PIPAS - Started: 1 April 2011

The principles and tool developed by PIPAS for piloting hospital processes and clinical pathways will typically be reusable by hospitals managing their own IT infrastructure as well as medical software editors and workflow management system editors.

ComodIT - Information System Automation

Keywords: Software Services Technologies, Cloud Computing, Service Oriented Architecture, Europe, On going, ERANET, ComodIT - Started: 1 February 2011

ComodIT project aims to simplify and secure Cloud computing technologies by developing a new approach to automate provisioning and management of complete and integrated IT and mobile infrastructures during their entire lifecycle.

MidFlex - A flexible middleware for IPv6-based low-power embedded systems

Keywords: Télécommunications, First DOC.A, Réseaux, Wallonia, On going, MidFlex - Started: 1 January 2011

MidFlex aims to elaborate a middleware to facilitate the design and deployment of IPv6-based sensor network applications.

PSOPP - Porting Software on Parallel Processors

Keywords: Embedded & Communication Systems, Methodology, Collective Research, FPGA, Wallonia, On going, PSOPP - Started: 1 January 2011

This project aims to provide a methodology allowing SME to adapt their software, designed to run on monocore processor, to allow them to run on multicore processors, on GPU or on FPGA based accelerator platforms in order to benefit easily and quickly of the computing power of these architectures.

AMACS - Automatic Monitoring of Activities Using Contactless Sensors

Keywords: Health, Embedded & Communication Systems, Europe, On going, ERANET - Started: 1 October 2010

AMACS in an EraSME project whose goal is to develop and evaluate in real-life situation an ICT-based system that can automatically monitor the activities of daily living (ADLs) (sleeping, cooking, making a phone call, …) of elderly people living alone at home.

S@T - Smarter Airborne Technologies

Keywords: Aerospace, Software and System Engineering, Marshall Plan, Software Certification, Wallonia, On going, Software Product Lines, S@T - Started: 1 September 2010

PONTE - Efficient Patient Recruitment for Innovative Clinical Trials of Existing Drugs to other Indications

Keywords: Health, Software Services Technologies, Semantics, Dissemination, Software and System Engineering, 7th Framework Program, Europe, On going, Coordinator, PONTE - Started: 29 July 2010

PONTE will simplify the whole clinical trials process so that it is easier to come up with an idea and select the right patients. As well as saving money, this will give the public quicker access to drugs that may be able to help them.
