The PaaSage project aims at delivering an open and integrated platform to support model based lifecycle management of Cloud applications. The platform and the accompanying methodology allow model-based development, configuration, optimisation, and deployment of existing and new applications independently of the existing Cloud infrastructures.

The BonFIRE-ExSec experiment aims to study the impact of scalability and heterogeneity on performance of security solutions. The bottom line of this investigation is to develop an empirical way of quantifying impact on security under various operating conditions and parameters of Cloud deployments.

SPES aims at transferring the approach and results achieved in the implementation of OLDES project to support patients from four European locations through e-service solutions, especially tailored to manage respiratory problems, dementia, handicapped people and social exclusion.

ComodIT project aims to simplify and secure Cloud computing technologies by developing a new approach to automate provisioning and management of complete and integrated IT and mobile infrastructures during their entire lifecycle.

AMACS in an EraSME project whose goal is to develop and evaluate in real-life situation an ICT-based system that can automatically monitor the activities of daily living (ADLs) (sleeping, cooking, making a phone call, …) of elderly people living alone at home.

PONTE will simplify the whole clinical trials process so that it is easier to come up with an idea and select the right patients. As well as saving money, this will give the public quicker access to drugs that may be able to help them.

C2A project aims to design, develop and implement an intelligent interconnection system between embedded hybrid equipments in the transport vehicles. The project goal is to optimize and extend embedded resources usage which will allow for the composition of new innovative services. C2A is a CBC project (Cross Border Cooperation between France and Wallonia) of the European Interreg IV-A program.

Experience transfer and knowledge management are known to improve efficiency and competitiveness of organizations. However, focal point of the developed knowledge management approaches is usually the needs of big enterprises that are neither suitable nor applicable to small and very small enterprises. EXTRA’s main goal is to fix this gap by helping SMEs active in the area of software development and delivery to improve their practices. Product quality and customer satisfaction can be increased by capitalising on the company’s previous experiences. The EXTRA handbook provides a set of 9 techniques to improve a company’s knowledge management.

S-CUBE, the Software Services and Systems Network, will establish an
integrated, multidisciplinary and vibrant research community, which
will help enable Europe to lead the software services revolution, in turn
helping to shape the software services-based Internet that will form the
backbone of our future interactive society.

RESERVOIR will enable massive scale deployment and management of complex IT services across different administrative domains, IT platforms and geographies. The project will provide a foundation for a service-based online economy, where - using virtualization technologies - resources and services are transparently provisioned and managed on an on-demand basis at competitive costs with high quality of service. RESERVOIR consortium is coordinated by IBM.
