Dr. Jean-Christophe Deprez is Scientific Coodinator at the Centre d’Excellence en Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication (CETIC) in Charleroi, Belgium. He was the project coordinator of QUALOSS, an FP6 European Research Project on quality in open source. He is a Belgian representative in the ISO Sub-Committee 7 on software and system engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2003. Prior to joining CETIC in 2005, he was professor at Pace University in New York, USA. His research goals are to develop procedures and tools to analyze and improve software quality and software development processes with a particular interest in refactoring and testing.
